Eddie George... Chris Brown???

Postby akrancher » Sat Oct 11, 2003 10:18 am

I know Eddie has been "their man" in TEN for a long time, but will we see what Chris Brown can do???? I stashed him on my bench awhile back just waiting to see what would happen. Haven't heard any rumors that he may get a few carries here or there. Will they start bringing him in or are they going to start mixing it up with Holcombe???

I don't remember the actual numbers, but I read something that Browns yards per carry aren't much different than Georges. I was hoping they would make a change also. Brown is a fa in my league

Good question, ive been keeping an eye on this myself, i dont think brown will see any significant action this year. He would be worth looking at for keeper leagues though.

I am in a 8-man keeper league. Personally, I don't think he is worth keeping in a 12-man league. In my league there should be guys like Plax as FAs next year.

I asked an "insider" via chat if the Titans were going RB in the first round of the 2004 draft. He said no, the Titans are convinced that Chris Brown was a steal and is the RB of the future for that franchise.

That said, logic would say he'll see the field sometime soon, but I've never seen him at all and know nothing about him. The team seems to be showing George a lot of loyalty for how bad he's been.

OK, here's my take. The Titans only need to have enough of a
threat at rb to keep the Ds semi-honest. McNair is unreal this
year and he has 4 quality WRs, so you will not see much value
from any Titans RB. To make it worse(from the RB perspective),
what you will see is RBBC, Eddie,Brown and everyone forgets
Holcombe, who looked good today. My advice, trade Eddie and
don't bother with another rb. Grab Calico, and wish you had McNair.
