So my parents keep asking me what I want for Christmas and I tell them an MP3 player and they ask which kind. I can't decide what to tell them. I have narrowed it down to an Ipod (30 GB $250) or Microsoft Zune (30 BG $250). I can't decide which is going to be better or why. If anyone has any insite that would be awesome

If you have a Mac, don't bother with the Zune (only for PC).
The only major new feature of the Zune, which I've heard of, is the wireless sharing of songs to someone 30 feet away. You can receive a song for 3 plays or 3 days (the lesser of the two), and then you can't play it anymore.
Not a big Mac fan, but I'd stick with the market leader.
I would probably say the Ipod, it's been out there longer, and it works pretty well. I got a DJ back when it was new, I only have the 5GB pocket DJ, but have thought about getting an iPod, but really 5GB is absolutely fine, it does exactly what I want. But anyhow, if you want 30, that's you and I would go with the iPod. Both are from big companies though, but I imagine the iPod realm is much more extensive. Only thing is, I hear iTunes is a hassle.
I have a 40 GB IPOD and love it. The only knock I give it is not being able to dump songs off it without hooking up to a computer. I hear there are MP3 players out there that have that function. Other than that its sweeeeet.

My DJ does
Yeah thats probably the only lame thing about Ipods, as far as Itunes I dig it.
Yeah, I burned a song to a cd from Itunes. Then I wanted to play that song in a PC... AND I HAD TO LOGIN TO ITUNES IN ORDER TO PLAY IT... that is LAME!!
