One of the world's most recognisable icons, Colonel Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame, has been given a makeover for only the fourth time in 50 years.
The genial KFC founder has swapped his white suit for a red apron, although he keeps his bow tie and specs - and, of course, the grey goatee beard.
The new logo will eventually be seen on all the fast food restaurants in KFC's worldwide chain, said parent company Yum! Brands, owner of Pizza Hut and Taco Bell and the world's largest fast food company with more than 34,000 restaurants worldwide.
It is celebrating the new look logo with a giant, 87,000-square foot version that can be seen from space. The massive logo is made up of 65,000 one-foot square painted tiles that were laid out in the Nevada desert in a task that took 24 days.
The late Col Sanders, who died at the age of 90 in 1980, introduced his Kentucky Fried Chicken recipe at his own restaurant in 1939. He went on to run a chain of restaurants and developed celebrity status after appearing in his own, "finger-lickin' good" TV commercials.

And people have been clogging their arteries ever since.
Something new to look for using Google Earth. Nice.
Whoever thought of that in the marketing department should get a raise, lol. Advertising that can be seen from space, wow. If aliens ever came to Earth, would anyone be surprised if they came for some KFC chicken?

I think KFC has done much better without their old man than wendy's. The Wendy's guy was the face of all those old commericals and when he went it really just screwed their whole marketing campaign.
