i keep seeing commercials for it and im wondering why they didnt go wireless. it looks like with the movements and having to hold two controllers with a short wire holding them together isnt the brightest idea.

Yeah, I got a PS3. But the plan is to sell it on eBay because with a baby on the way, we can't afford it. But maybe later.

Maybe with the money I make off selling it on ebay?

I'm actually torn on which new system I want, though. All of them have their advantages. But I need a new PC too, so that's on the list. But baby is top priority, so my XBox will have to do until the prices drop.

Ok, I've been reading the game reviews... pathetic. Oh well.

At Gamespot, none of the PS3 or Wii games even cracked a 9.0.

I understand that the Wii is supposed to have more gameplay and less graphics, but just the gameplay scores alone are coming in at 8s or worse.



After much debate, I'm going to build a new PC (first time ever building)... I need it for other things as well. I'm going to wait till Vista comes out though (and watch all the kinks get worked out first).

I'm thinking:

nVidia 8800 GTX (not dual cards... overkill for current games)
Intel Core Duo 2 6600+ (overclocked)
4GB-8GB 800mhz ram
motherboard support for SLI
yada, yada, yada.

Will probably cost me around $2300-2600 for the setup... but the graphics will blow away the consols for years to come... plus I can upgrade later on.

For work, I use intense graphical programs, so I need the juice.

Anybody else build, this will be my first time. I was going to just configure something at Dell or Alienware, but they basically charge DOUBLE the retail cost of the parts (their lower-end systems have razor thin margins, but their true profit center is the hardcore gamer configs).

FWIW, Gamespot was pretty much the only place that gave Zelda anything less than incredible reviews.

I played it and Wii Sports today (buddy has it), and both were awesome.

Wii Sports is a blast, but I wouldn't rush out to get the system for it. Unless you're really into the Nintendo franchise and older games, I don't think Wii is worth getting right now.

I don't have either but I think the Wii will be mostly for the Mario series whereas PS3 and 360 are more for the sports and fighting games. I think PS3 is the best as it has more options than either and the graphics are better.

there's a wii station at our mall. its got motion sensor thingys, so like when you play baseball, you swing the controller to hit. its an interesting concept, but the games and the graphics are pretty weak from what i saw.
