It happens every year. The best team in the league (by points) doesn't make the playoffs because of bad matchups where they happen to play a team that has their best week of the season. It sucks but it's just bad kuck. The opposite also happens sometimes. You can have a mediocre team that doesn't score a lot of points compared to the rest of the league and just get lucky by playing teams who have an off week.
Well, my guess is that you didn't have Colston all season, so you probably missed out on several big games of his. Palmer was pretty crappy in the beginning of the year, and you were probably starting him then. Gates has been decent but not nearly as good as the past 2 seasons, and both Wayne and Williams have been hit or miss- huge weeks some weeks and not much others. My guess would be you blew plenty of teams out some weeks, lost close games others. Just the luck of the draw.
14 Teams, each keep 14 players QB: P. Manning, Schaub RB: MJD, Westy, C. Johnson, A. Bradshaw, J. Ringer WR: TO, Driver, J. Gage, Crabtree, J. Morgan, K. Curtis, E. Bennett, M. Sims-Walker TE: Witten, M. Lewis K: Gostkowski, J. Brown D/ST: Tenn, NE

I have a team exatcly like that in one league. Here is the Roster
P.Manning
T.Jones, McGahee, Maroney, A. Thomas
C.Chambers, B. Berrian, M. Jenkins, K. Curtis
H. Miller, J. Stevens
Dolphins
Scobee
And the team is going to be 9-2, I scored one of the lowest totals this week, but I am winning because my opponent started mcnabb, r.brown, droughns...oh well it's just fleaflicker
I'll be out of the playoffs with the 3rd highest points:
QB: Favre
RB: Rudi, KJ, J. Lewis, T. Bell, M. Bell, F. Taylor, R. Droughns
WR: C. Johnson, P. Burress, L. Evans, B. Edwards
TE: Witten
K: Kaeding
DEF: Baltimore
I'll be 5-6 after winning this week. I've lost games of 1pt, 4pts, & 7pts. In my league, the average scoring is about 70. I've had 100+ put up on me 3 times.
I lead the league with Points Against with 904. League average is 747 and one team that will make the playoffs has had 514 scored against...ridiculous.
