I have SA but didn't play him today. I couldn't watch the game, but am pretty worried about his numbers.

17 attempts for 37 yards! . . . . agains the NINERS! . . .

Was he rusty, or still hurt? Stuffed on 4th down when all they needed was a yard!

I my other RBs are Gore (thank god) Tatum, Lamont Jordan (out for season), and Kevin Jones (ankle injury).

I was really counting on Alexander for the playoffs. How hosed am I? Or will he get better?

Hard to know just what to think of SA. I can't get the weak way he started out this season out of my head. That makes me wonder if he cannot run hard enough to bust through the smaller holes that the C-Hacks O-line now produces. He might not be as big a playoff factor as most hope. I'd wait until I see how Hasslebeck's return helps the O before panicing....more.

If you recall , his numbers weren't so great before he got hurt.

The loss of Hutch really hurt him

Part of the problem might be Wallace. I'd wait till Hass comes back before you can really get a clear picture of how he's gonna do from here on out.

He did also have a 15 yarder called back. But I agree Hass will help.

Hass will help, getting back into the flow will help, but I seriously doubt we'll ever see the old SA again. He's good, but he's always been more of a product of that offense than just being a pure stud. Losing an all-world lineman like Hutch will drop his value quite a bit. He's obviously still a #1 RB, but I don't put him in that top tier anymore.

He was kinda hurting from week 1.....impossible to really make this statement.....

SF's defense has been playing well lately, so I think we'll just have to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks.
