With all the talk about Cowher leaving at season's end, any one care to think of who his replacement might be if he does leave?

The talk before the season and during the season has been Cowher is going to retire. They say he has bought a really nice home in North Carolina and wants to retire and spend more time with his wife and kids. Not sure he wanted to go out like this with his team having a losing record so far but I believe he mentioned retirement a few months after he won the superbowl.

I remember Cowher talking about it before the season started and during the beginning of the season.
A win next week and all is forgotten.

Ah, yeah I knew about the pre-season talk, but He's still young, I don't think this year will be the year.

What about one of the co-os? Lebeau had his shot at head coaching, and that didn't work out to well. Then there's Wisenhunt. Maybe he was promised the HC job this past off season and that's why he didn't bail to go to another team this past offseason...hmmm.... oh, and because the main team interested in him was Oakland, and I don't blame him for not going to that mess.

Anyways, i'd put my lots in as Wisenhunt being the main candidate IF cowher bolts.

I would have trouble cheering for the steelers if Gruden was the coach....I think our management is smart enough not to go after a coach like that. I'd much rather have Wisenhunt or LeBeau step up as the head coach if Cowher retires....at least the philosophies will still be similar to when Cowher was here.
