Anyone still undefeated?

Postby EagleFan68 » Mon Nov 20, 2006 9:31 am

The furthest anyone has ever gone in our league without losing a game is 11-0, I did that 3 years ago. We have had a few teams go 9-0.

I just think there is too much luck involved in fantasy football to go undefeated, even if you have an unstoppable team on paper.
At least if you play in a good league and not with a bunch of clueless owners.

I'll be 11-0 in my 8-team Yahoo league. I don't usually do 8 teamers, but a friend asked to me to help fill out his league. We start a lot of players, which I think compensates for the smaller number of teams to some degree.

Here's the starting lineup:

Kitna (Hasselbeck replacement)

Larry Johnson
Steven Jackson
Kevin Jones/Ahman Green/Chester Taylor (flex platoon)

Torry Holt
Reggie Wayne
TJ Houshmandzadeh
Mike Furrey

Todd Heap

Josh Brown

Ravens

Keith Bulluck
Brian Urlacher
Lofa Tatupu
Terrence McGee

I got the second overall choice and ended up with this team via autodraft.

I'd like to think that I have a good shot at running the table with this team, but we'll see.

I've had a few 10-0 teams in the past and another 8-0 team, but I don't recall ever having an owner with a perfect season.

I'm still undefeated in my 14 team keeper league. I'll be moving to 11-0 after this week (i'm ahead by 40 points).

My roster is:

QB:Romo
WR:ocho cinco
WR:Chambers
RB: Rudi
RB: Dunn
TE: Heap
W/R: K. Jones
B: Reggie brown
B: dominic Rhodes
B: Jerious Norwood
B: drew bledsoe

K: Wilkins

Def: Philly

And here's where it gets interesting...we use IDP and i think this is where I have a pretty big advantage as i targeted people with high tackle totals (1 tackle=1 point, ast= 0.5 pts) fairly early in the draft once I had all of my regular positions filled. I had mike peterson too, but as we know, he went down for the year.
D: Keith Bullock
D: DeMeco Ryans
DB: Ronde Barber
DB: Chris Hope
DL: Ray Lewis
DL: lofa tatupu

I'm 11-0 in a 14 team dynasty. Salaries, contracts, IDP's, the whole 9 yards. It helped signing L Johnson and W Parker to 5 year contracts the year BEFORE they became starters!
