Yeah, thanx Jason. That's what I was told, but I was wondering if there was something more to it, than just volunteering and tradition.
Maybe it's because I'm a Cowboy fan, but I like how it's always DET and DAL playing. We typically eat during the DET game...
I do like the idea of having a third game that rotates every year, as long as they keep the two other "traditional" games.

I don't, whenever there is crap on TV during the week, NFL Network is there with something to watch, NFL Replay, weekly recaps or updates, and of course the Cheerleaders playoffs, etc. NFL network has the best preview shows for upcoming games as well

I mean, think about how awesome it would be to see, for example, the Bears and Patriots game on Thanksgiving instead of the Lions again.
I dunno. I like tradition. And even though Detroit has been bad, I like the year-to-year consistency.
Detroit isn't always terrible - they're 5-5 in the last 10 Thanksgiving games but they didn't fare too well the last two. Maybe they could let some of the older teams have another shot at it - been a long time since I've seen Columbus Panhandles - Dayton Triangles Game!

If you are looking for some additional football on Thanksgiving, check out ESPN2 at 9:00AM. Talking about tradition, it'll be the 100th matchup between two highschool football teams. Phillipsburg, NJ vs. Easton PA. P'burg is undefeated the past two seasons, and Easton is 9-1-1 and has given up only 14 points in the last 7 games. The game will be played, as always, at a sold out Lafayette College field. So while the wife is cooking the bird, tune in, should be a great game.
