McNabb Owners: Week 12 Waiver Wire QB Matchups

Postby Hanz » Tue Nov 21, 2006 2:35 pm

lI know some of these guys might not be available in your league, but they seem to be the average QB's on the waiver wire. Many McNabb owners are being forced to play the matchups every week for the rest of the season, what are you doing Week 12?

Losman vs. Jaguars
Young vs. Giants
Pennington vs. Texans
Harrington vs. Lions
Alex Smith vs. Rams
Leinart vs. Vikings
Gradkowski vs. Cowboys
Campbell vs. Panthers
Garcia/Feeley vs. Colts
Brooks vs. Chargers
Garrard vs. Bills

I think Pennington should have the nicest game this week, Alex Smith is a good option (great playoff schedule so hold onto him), and Harrington should have a great game against Detroit.

Charlie Frye against a Bengals team that has given up over 900 yards over the last 2 weeks seems to be a good play. He is merely a one-week fill-in though.

Losman vs. Jaguars - Jax is 5th in the league against the pass...and dont' expect another 2 pass = 160 yards

Young vs. Giants - Gmen are in the lower 15 against the pass, but I don't expect big numbers from the rookie.

Pennington vs. Texans - Houston is in the lower 10 against the pass. Penny has been struggling lately, but I think he has a chance to tear up the Texans the way he was tearing teams up at the beginning of the season.

Harrington vs. Lions - Again, the Lions are in the bottom 15 against the pass but Bloey is still Bloey. He'll have an average day.

Alex Smith vs. Rams - Rams actually have a pretty good pass D. 9th against the pass. Smith will have an average game.

Leinart vs. Vikings - Viks are bottom 10 against pass. Arizona Oline can't protect.

Gradkowski vs. Cowboys - No. Just no.

Campbell vs. Panthers - Campbell had an ok game, but too big of an unknown and Panthers are 9th vs pass.

Garcia/Feeley vs. Colts - um...no

Brooks vs. Chargers - See week 1

Garrard vs. Bills - Bills bottom 15 vs pass. An ok matchup.

All in all, if I was faced with this, I'd pick Penny and hope he tears up the texans the way he did teams at the beginning of the season.

Too bad Delhomme wasnt available on your WW, i was lucky and snatched him up, he plays Washington this week, if any Mcnabb owners have him on the WW....Get him now!!!

For those listed i would say Pennington then Garrard.

I like Smith's matchup the best. Rams D is crap and Smith has been playing great. Look for a shootout in the Rams-Niners game.

Jake Delhomme against one of the weakest secondarys in the league (Washington) is a great matchup. Not sure if he would be on everyone's waiver wire though.

Harrington on Turkey Day is a solid choice. I'm taking a chance on him in a league.
