Just lookin for some opinions. With the way Barber has been playing, do you think he is starting to become the #1 back for Dellas. He ended up w/ more carries this week and played a hell of a lot better.

Hell, who cares? He's started on my team for the past 5 weeks, and scores TDs more than any other player I have.

MBIII is a this point an every week no-brain starter. He is the #1 Dallas threat in the red zone by a mile, and if they have a good lead (as they did today), he'll close out the last 1 1/2 quarters of the game. He's still officially splitting carries. Maybe Parcells will give him more, maybe not. But what difference would it really make? 40 more rushing yards?

If you have him, start him every week. Don't think. Just do it.

This week was definitely uplifting for Barber owners.

He got extra carries because the game was out of reach..but towards the end of the game, Parcells stopped using him around the goal-line because he didn't want to blow the Bucs out too bad so they ran the full back inside the 20..otherwise Barber would have had at least 1-2 more TDs.

We all know what Barber can do on the ground when he's in the red-zone, but the Boys ran a certain play two times in the red-zone which both resulted in receiving TDs for Barber. Defenses are going to have to account for his power running inside the 5 as well as the playaction pass from Romo. And yes, Barber is officially a viable start as your #2 RB. He's money in the red-zone. I've been starting him since week 5 in my TD heavy league.

I too have been starting Barber for the past 4 weeks. He is a solid play every week.

Redskins (19th vs. run)
Cardinals (18th vs. run)
Colts (32nd vs. run)
Bucs (20th vs. run)

Average ranking=22.25

They will be playing against:

Giants (13rd vs. run)
Saints (23rd vs. run)
Falcons (9th vs. run)
Eagles (25th vs. run)

Average ranking=17.5

2 of the remaining games are division dog fights in the NFC East. I don't think his numbers will be as good as they have been unless Jones gets hurt.

Barbers last 4 games averages:

Total yards=66.8 yards
TDs=1.25

I can't see him averaging more than a TD/week in that next stretch.
