Can't compare Romo to Brady, no way. In fact, you have a hard time convincing me Manning is better than Brady. Three superbowl championships don't lie. That's the bottom line, that's how the greats are measured, in any sport. Getting back to Romo, his stats don't lie. So far, so good. Good defences, bad defences, he is delivering and the Dallas offense looks very dominating. Right now, if Dallas plays Chicago, I think Dallas wins it. Dallas D confuses the hell outta Grossman, and all the vast weapons on Dallas Offence break down the Bears defence.

I heard Troy Aikman say the same thing. I hope the Bears meet the Boys in the playoffs and put a whoppin on the Boys. All this Romo talk is a amusing. I like to see Romo tear up the Bears D. I guess your name fits pretty good.

Well, Im looking at the Bears games this year. What was their most impresive victory? maybe Seattle albeit without SA. Maybe the Giants on the road. I dunno.. Bears just don't seem all that threatening. Grossman is mister inconsistency and can be rattled easily. A Dallas - Chicago matchup would be great to see. I just think Dallas can take it...just too many offensive weapons to deal with.

I don't understand the "he's played bad defenses" argument. Half the QBs in this league can't hit a WR in stride in practice, not to mention when ANY defense is on the field. He's making smart decisions, throwing accurate passes, and not turning the football over. What else would you ask him to do? Oh yeah, and moving the chains with his legs when he has to.

I agree that the jury is not out yet, though. We could see the Grossman effect here, that once defenses find his weakness (and I assure you he has one - it just hasn't showed yet), they will exploit it. Then we'll see how he adjusts when it isn't all rolling so well.

One of the most impressive throws in the last game is when he side-armed a ball around a defender to complete a slant pass in pretty good coverage. Being able to use different arm angles is something good QBs do. I think he shows a lot of promise.

He was not a high draft pick (ok, not a draft pick at all), and took Bledsoe's job which is now permanently his. That is as far as I'm willing to draw the Brady comparisons at this point. We'll see what happens.

We can go back and forth with who's better but remember if the cowboys do play the Bears it will be in Chicago. Let's make it happen!

Lets all keep in mind that I'm sure there were plenty of haters when Brady emerged. He inherited a SB team in the playoffs, not an underachieving team in the middle of the season. Their situations are very different, except for the fact that Bledsoe and Glenn were on both teams. Only time will tell if Romo will be a great QB. And I think it's pretty retarded to say "he hasn't even won a playoff game" well no crap, Sherlock. It's pretty hard to when your first season of playing isn't complete yet. And whoever mentioned the weapons and Oline should be banned; Bledsoe never did what Romo has done so far, except against the absolute bottom of the barrel teams.

Lets remember that Favre was once a backup, throwing 2 picks in his only 5 attempts his rookie season. Now 400+ TDs and two NFC championships later, he is considered a top 5 QB by most people.

On the other hand, I believe the hype is inflated because of his dismantling of an injured TB defense. But at the same time, he had a better game than just about any QB has had this year, period. Only time will tell us how Romo will fare, and this postseason might not break him, but it can certainly make him.

Ok, I'm the biggest Brady hater on earth, but to say that is either ignorant or just plains stupid. If he wins one more SB, he WILL go down with the greats (probobly will with his stats anyway even if he doesn't though). I have watched Brady a couple of weeks in a row lately and I must say that even though I hate him he is the most calm and collected QB under pressure I have ever seen. The guy has three rings buddy, show some respect.

Last week, TB already had seen a couple games of film. I'm not saying he is as good as Tom Brady, but he is pretty good.

The defense TB showed on the field couldn't stop me at QB. Seriously, no Rice, safeties banged up, corner hurt, no pass rush. Did you really expect anything good out of them?

He's had more than 1 and a half good games:

@ Carolina- 24/36, 270 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
@ Washington- 24/36, 284 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
@ Arizona- 20/29, 308 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT Indianapolis- 19/23, 226 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
Tampa Bay- 22/29, 306 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT

I count five good games, and T.O. has had several key drops that have taken away some TD's and yardage. First people were saying that Romo's inexperience would hurt him when he first took over. Then they said he'll come back to earth after a few games. Then they said wait until teams have a few game tapes on him. Now what?

And like slowride said, the o-line was considered a liability and one of the worst in the NFL before Romo came in with his mobility and ability to make plays.

I realize that it is wayyy to early to compare him to Tom Brady since Brady has been winning and performing year in and year out, but I have to give credit where credits due for Romo's performance thus far, and hopefully he can maintain this level of play throughout the season, and into the playoffs!

Five good games? What are you talking about?! The games that you listed have been edited by me to show you what really happened. Bold means bad/average game and underlined means poor defense...as I said, nothing impressive.

I am obviously biased in this argument, so I'll end my part in this discussion with this: I consider leading your team to 35 straight points after getting in an early 14 point hole against a good defense on the road in your first career start a good game. Also, I consider completing 82.6% of your passes, including going 10/11 in the second half and leading two scoring drives to beat the undefeated Colts, a good game.

I completely agree that in no way can you compare Romo to Brady now, but I have been nothing but impressed with his performance thus far. Go Cowboys!

Nah dude, you're just an ignorant homer, because you have optimism for your team that is playing extremely well after they put in a QB who wasn't a huge star in college and has no NFL experience beforehand.

On a serious note, the Romo haters are just as bad as the fans who think he's the next coming of Marino.

Thats unfotrunately true. Sim is out for the year, Brian Kelly out for the year, Quarles has been "questionable" seemingly every week for two months, Booger was traded, his backup Wyms is out, Brooks has fallen off, our safeties stink.

I don't mean to be a pessimist, but I don't put much stock in Romo's performance against us. We're the worst team in the league right now, no exaggeration. The Thanksgiving game just proved it. I don't think he's a 300+ yard, 5 TD guy. But in the other games I've seen him in, he's struck me as a very solid QB none the less.
