Seau nasty arm break

That was nasty. His forearm was bent off to the side. Thats just wrong.

yea I just happened to look up from stat tracker and saw him rolling around. They kept the camera on him for a bit and you got a few good looks at the break. The forarm broke in the middle, going downwards such that if you splashed water on the elbow and the hand, they would roll towards the break and meet in the middle. best description i can give. a wide angled V shape

its a broken arm and he'll be fine. nothing extrememly serious but I don't know how long he could be out for. how does this affect NE's defense? whats the statline on Seau? was he a big factor in whatever they were doing? unfortunately i haven't been able to keep track of things (such as team defesnes) they i've wanted to this season.

Yea, you can tell it was a break by the crazy way the arm was bent at a spot in the arm that normally doesn't bend. Wonder if he broke both the bones in his forearm though, because it could have been flopping around if both broke cleanly.

Pretty grotesque, I hope I never see my arm look like that. I hope he gets back and is ready for the playoffs, it would be a shame if his career were to end like that.

The retirement question is a bit off-topic. Seau was having a good-but-unspectacular year with the Pats. The guy is a great leader and was a reliable situation player for Bellichick.

the injuries are just kinda scary...

I wish him the best of luck through his recovery.

Reminds me of when I snapped my humurus when I was 13. I was tackled from the front, put my arm out to help the fall, but I was pushed to side, and all my weight landed on my arm, snapping it right above the elbow. I looked out and my elbow was all the way hyperextended Five minutes later a teammate fractured his wrist, we ended up next to eachother in the hospital until 2 AM

Im glad I missed Seau's injury, things like that always make me sick to my stomach An EMT in another forum I visit said it looked like a career ending injury

That looked just like my arm about 7 years ago, also from football.

It doesn't even hurt, it's just really uncomfortable for a while.
