Tiki Barber OFFICIALLY useless for fantasy football !!!

Postby chipper » Sun Nov 26, 2006 8:58 pm

Yep, great real runningback....useless fantasy back

With him you are guaranteed two things:

1) 80 to 100 yards rushing, 20 to 40 yards receiving
2) ZERO touchdowns

Thye're starting to give it to Jacobs out at the 7 and 8 yardline now, so there's even less of a chance Tiki hits paydirt.

There are so many other backs out there that can get you more points....gotta move on I think.

He's not useless. Dissapointing yes, but hardly useless, since hes still good for around 10 a week at least.

Heh, this made me laugh.

If you play in a TD only league, then yeah Tiki is worthless. In my league we get a pt for every 10 yards rushing or receiving. Sure, I'd like to see those 200+ yard games with the occasional score, like before, but even at 100-140 total yards he is worth starting.

The reason why they don't let him run in the TDs is to make sure he doesn't get hurt... or so that was the talk at the beginning of the season. In fact, Tiki was fine with it. I think, now that he is retiring, they should give Tiki the TD runs, and try to protect Jacobs. Jacobs is going to be their feature back next year (I assume). If Tiki gets hurt, then Jacobs becomes feature back for the rest of the year... gets him more experience. If things get much worse for the Giants, they might want to think about making Jacobs the feature back anyway. Then they get to see if Jacobs can handle the job... or if they need to pick up an RB for next year.

Yeah I think next year I will go with the 1 pt for every 10 yards instead of the 20.
