Gotta go with stomperbob's Steelers. There was something about that team that was so dominant that you just didn't give any team a chance to beat them in the playoffs. stomperbob also gets credit for a killer avatar. Lambert ruled the field.

A close 2nd would go to the '85 Bears. Honerable mentions to the '72 Dolphins and Montana's 49'ers.

The '89 49ers

I like the '84 niners better than the '89 niners. They went 15-1 in '84, and the one loss was by only 3 points (that's only 3 points away from not hearing about all this Dolphins champagne crap for the last 20 years). They were pre-Rice, but still a dominating team.

Bears also own the record for most wins in a 5 year span - 62 - in NFL history.

The Eagles have won 59 games in the last five years - they need to win 14 games this year to tie that record and 15 games to break the record!

After their 13-3 regular season, the Pack didn't have too much trouble on the way to their Super Bowl victory over the Patriots in New Orleans -- Green Bay scored 100 points in three playoff games and their average margin of victory was 17-plus points.

Now, those were the days...
By about the week 7 defeat of San Fran, the Super bowl and eventual championship seemed more of a formality than a challenge.
Rather than #9 I'd put this team closer to 5-7.

The best Steeler team of all time was a year they didn't win the Super Bowl, 1976. They were totally dominant that year but injuries killed them in the playoffs.

But to answer the question of this post, IMHO I think it's the 85 Bears.
