Merriman's impact on DE

Postby mothaudio » Sat Dec 02, 2006 11:37 am

What impact will Merriman have on the SD "D"? Will he be better, worse or about the same as his earlier form? I think with the added rest he'll be beating up on everyone as usual.

Even if Merriman himself doesn't post as great numbers, the defense as a whole will do much better with him back. But i personally think we'll see more Lights Out celebrations in the backfield.

Merriman is going to spark that entire teams play. Offensively and Defensively. I believe that Sean himself will get 10tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery tomorrow.

Sounds good to me (its Shawne by the way)

This whole steroids thing is really too bad, as Shawne is really a great guy, great teammate, great in the community. Its really too bad his rep got tarnished by this (allthough no one actually seems to care that much) I have a feeling he's going to come out as pumped up and motivated as ever to prove it wasnt the steroids that made him great, and thats bad news for opposing offenses.

He is. Mothaudio merely made a typo. Thread title should have been, "Merriman's impact on DEF".

Someone is going to be broken in half this weekend...I do not envy Buffalo.

i think he'll have a big impact, the def. suffered without him, especially vs Cinci. with Merriman dressed, SD D is one of the bestest in the NFL.

ps- the person who made this topic should change his disgusting avatar.

First of all its an album cover.

Second, theres nothing "disgusting" about it.

More on topic...

Merriman is listed as an OLB but he hes really a tweener that plays a lot of DE. To consider him strictly an OLB is really wrong imo.
