Louisville vs. UConn

Only 8 minutes into the game and this game is already an enormous officiating debacle.

Louisville WR dives for the endzone and the ball pops out and no ref really makes a call. They kind of limped over to the spot and were like "well I guess he's down" when he wasn't, so next play Louisville punches it in.

UConn gets the ball and punts, Louisville returner chases and scoops up the punt and gets hit and fumbles and UConn picks it up and runs it into the endzone, but the refs inexplicably ruled that it was a "muff" and not a fumble so UConn can't advance it. Standard procedure from there....it gets reviewed, announcers saying this one's easy and will obviously be overturned...nope.

Not that it matters as Louisville will likely win in a blowout anyway, but just another opportunity to rag on this god-awful instant replay implementation.

This sucks- if they are going to have instant replay, they have got to be willing to spend the money to do it right.

I'm a Louisville fan and I'll admit they've gotten every call so far....Hopefully they can get it going and win convincingly so the officiating doesn't taint it....

As a big Uconn fan, our team sucks. Regardless of officiating, our team would have gotten crushed any day on any field. Louisville's 2nd string could have beaten us. The calls did suck though.
