I like them too. I wouldn't say that they are mainly instrumental though.
But, my favorite band hands down is In Flames. They're sick.

Dragonface is fun to watch, but I get bored of them sometimes.
o wait I'm not done yet, two goofy bands that are fun to listen to: We Might be Giants; The Presidents of the United Stats of America
both kinda goofy and fun to listen to.

I've never heard of them, I'll check it out- that is one of the reasons I started this thread- I always love looking for new music and getting into new stuff.

I've got a cd by POTUSA. They're pretty cool. Amazing that they only play 2 and 3 string guitars (at least that's all they used to play). I like a few songs by They Might Be Giants as well. "Particle Man" and "Istanbul" were great songs. Very catchy indeed.
As long as we're naming more bands, I'm a big fan of Pavement, Radiohead, Ben Folds, Shadows Fall, and Clutch. I don't think any of them really come close to Pearl Jam for me, but they're all in my top 5-10 bands.
My absolutely-gotta-have-some-of-this-almost-every-day-or-I-may-perish bands:
Evanescence
Audioslave
Staind
Green Day
System of a Down
Shinedown
Not quite life threatening if I am deprived of it:
Creed
Switchfoot
Linkin Park
Disturbed
Everclear
I know those are pretty mainstream, so here are some lesser known bands I enjoy. The problem is that I don't always enjoy every single song they make as I do with the bands above, which is why they don't make the list.
Morningwood
Avenged Sevenfold
Nonpoint
Flyleaf
Jet
Drowning Pool
