Pick 3....is it that easy?

I was wondering, for those of you that have played it in past years, is Pick 3 really as easy as it seems?

I started in week 8, and I am up to 6th in the standings. Have I just gotten lucky and made some good picks, or is it common to do well in it virtually every week?

Pick 3. Easy. I've been here since 2003 and still can't get one of those little icons. Bugger me, it's just not my game.

i think pick 3 is the hardest cafe game to win....especially since the amount of weekly winners is so limited compared to the other games. obviously i have never won, but that isnt saying much considering i suck at the cafe games

I feel the same. Have you tried having the wife pick for you? I had her take over my pick 3 in the baseball cafe, she got 5 top 10s.... to my 1.....

Agreed. There have been people playing the game since its inception when there were only like 20 players that still don't have icons from that game. I really can't believe I won the one week I did a few years ago...total fluke.

Some people are better at the game than others though...I know Dan is normally a staple at the top of this game. I didn't see how he was doing this year; I'll go look. But anyway, keep doing whatever you're doing if it works for you.

If you're referring to me... (which you probably aren't, with danielrp, "Dan", and Dan_Lambskin here) I'm not doing that great this year...

I just want that icon. Just that icon. I need to win one of these weeks.

Then again, I've been messing around with random numbers (yes, using a number generator) because I've been so frustrated with it this year. I guess I'll call it a rebuilding year for me...

But I take comfort in the fact that I'm ahead of Swiper, Vaderfin, and Cap in the standings... Though I don't know for how long...

Well, it seems as if I have finally had an "off" week.

After finishing in 2nd in week 12, and 6th in week 13, I ended my week 14 effort with an 85th place finish. I dropped down to 9th in the season standings, which will make it quite a bit tougher to take over the top spot.

I suppose taking a championship after you skip the first 8 weeks of the season would be ludicrous. I will be sure to participate in next year's games from week 1, so that I will have ample opportunity to win the championship in each of the Cafe Games.
