Harvin Named SEC Freshman of the year

Postby deerayfan072 » Tue Dec 05, 2006 7:57 pm

Percy Harvin was named the SEC freshman of the year.

Harvin had 406 rushing yards and 367 receiving yards this season while playing on a severely sprained ankle. We expect his numbers and the Reggie Bush comparisons to explode next season when he is fully healthy. Dec. 5 - 1:21 pm et

I can't wait to see him next year as well, when they involve him even more in the offense.

I really think he is the next Reggie Bush type. He can play RB, WR, and has that shiftyness to move and damn he is fast.

He has that kind of potential, but he still has a really long way to go.

I agree Harvin is awesome, but I am getting sick of every fast, agile, and versatile back/WR getting called the "next Reggie Bush."

I have heard this used for McFadden, Harvin, Spiller, Goodson and thats just off the top of my head.

They are sick, but let's see how they turn out. We could have another Justin Vincent on our hands.

I agree, half of these guys won't come close to Bush.

I have heard the same things with Derrick Williams, and also even Moody.

Just my .02 but I think that Harvin will be more of a player like Ginn rather than Bush due to the fact that Harvin only weighs around 180 lbs, and I'm not so sure he can run between the tackles like Bush could in College.
