Unethical? Need all veterans to rule on this.

2 weeks before Hasselback was coming back one of the veterans in our league had a trade on the board that was vetoed.

He gets Hasselback and gives Mark Brunell. He was making this trade with a rookie in our league. He brought the rookie into the league.

The veteran is in the playoff picture, the rookie is out with no chance to get in.

He is ranting now that we were wrong and doesn't want to play next year. I feel we had every right to veto the trade.

Forgot to mention the rookie works for the veteran.

Give your opinion. Would you veto the trade? We did.

IMO you guys did absolutely the right thing. In this case, even not cosidering the work factor, the trade was a joke.

He's acting like a child. Tell him to grow up. And if he can't accomplish that by next year, then he can quit and you will replace him with a mature person.

This example sounds like a schoolyard problem.

With so many things in life that are out of our control, I bet this guy cries about things all the time. GROW UP!

Was Brunell was still the starter when the trade was proposed???

If so, I disagree, the trade should NOT have been vetoed.

I'd be PO'd too.

If he cries, tell him "No Soup for You" and find another owner for next year.

It took me about three years to filter a group of 16 players into the league we have now, informed owners who care and play the entire year.

Boot the crybaby if he acts up. Treat him like the child he is. Send him to the corner for a time-out.

Why?

We have not seen the rosters. So, you have a QB on injury being traded for a starter... doesn't scream collusion to me.

What were the FA QBs?

Did that team try to trade with others?

These are all important pieces of info that we have not been given.

Why?

A QB that was to be benched at any minute (and hadn't put up good stats since early in the season) being traded for a proven top-5 fantasy QB (OK, top-10 at worst, but I consider him top-5) who was set to return from injury is very suspicious indeed. I would vote to veto it in a vacuum. But knowing that the player who's getting the better end of the bargain employs the other player, and that the player jettisoning his QB is no longer in contention, the trade is too flawed to allow unless you're in a very laissez-faire league.
