That's awesome you have such faith and have found truth in what you believe. Maybe one day I'll find whatever it is I'm looking for and acquire the same level of faith.

I talked to her Dad last night. The third surgery went very well and, barring any unforseen changes, she should keep her arm although she will probably never pitch a softball again.
That's great news! Losing a limb would be hard for anyone, but I could see how it would especially be hard for a teenage girl.

I know there are a couple members of the Cafe who are police officers and therefore I take offence at you insulting them needlessly for what they do. Since I don't believe you know them personally your comments are meaningless as they are just a sweeping generalization but they do speak volumes about you. People are starting to tire of your immature rants.
This is Tiki. He's a typical kid, really. I've had many 'conversations' with him regarding the aforementioned and he will not even consider reason. He knows more than us and that's it. It's unfortunate that he may have to learn things the hard way, but there are thousands, millions, of kids out there who are the same way. Less talk, more listening.....

Actually, I really don't think "typical" kids think all cops are dirt bags. I certainly didn't. I also wasn't a pothead. Maybe there's a correlation there?
I did think I knew everything when I was a kid, so I think you got that part right. Isn't it amazing that the older we get the smarter our parents get?

We definitely see things more clearly and can relate to our parents a little better. Whether they were good or bad, at least we can see where they were coming from and why they may have made some of the decisions they made. Kids, especially these days, are so sheltered from real life. Look at Met's dad. He went to war at 13. That's responsibility right there. Nowadays, kids start lighting up and getting pregnant at 13.

First of all, let me say, that I want to talk about this as much as anybody else, but when the mods request it be dropped, I would suggest dropping it so we can continue to receive updates from NFL Fan on the girls that were in the accident. Tiki and I have discussed this in PM and I'm sure he is very open to discussing with anybody else in that way as well.

I have friends and family members who are/were officers. Cops are only D-bags to those who break the law. Keep your ignorance to yourself.

So funny how many people say that.
If there is a bright side to this saga, maybe a few young eyes will be opened. Maybe the story touches a life or two and turns a kid from the bad stuff. I was a problem in the 17-23 year range. Did alot of drugs, got a record, etc...
It was a God thing that turned me. Not that I was at rock bottom or anything. An exhaustive amount of research convinced me intellectually. Then came the heart change and away went the drunkenness and drugs and...... well.... all that other stuff!
Yo, Met... thanks for the sig! GO DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's an equally ignorant statement to the one that Tiki made.
