XBox 360, Do they work?

Watch out for the battery packs on those things. I've heard of three different cases now where they have caught fire to the carpet they've been sitting on (of course those guys were hours into an RPG).

I have had mine since July 27. I have only had one problem and that is when i play NCAA. after a couple games it says it can't read the cd, so i take it out wipe it and its fine. Other than that no complaints, its awesome

I don't know if I'm just being picky, but I played Madden 07 Demo at Circuit City the other day and in between plays, the game seemed to drag a bit. The screen would be slowly loading then it would go to the screen for the next play. The actual gameplay was smooth but the transition between play calling screen and the running of the play seemed slow. Is this an issue anyone has exerienced or is it just the display model? Or me just being picky?

Buy the 360 intercooler. I guess they have them out for a reason.

i hear people on xbox live all the time talking about how many x-box's they have went through due to them breaking down. luckily, i have never had any problems (*knocks on wood). i think laying it down flat help keeps it cooler than standing it up since you are essentially blocking off half the air flow that way. ive given mine plenty of space to breathe.

thats good advice I actually pull mine off the shelf it lives on and put it alone in the middle of the carpet when I play it.

Ive had it about four months sox 06.

I'm hoping the newer 360s have some of the kinks worked out.

mine crashed on me about two weeks ago because

A) it overheated and got fried

or

B) It died cause of a fall update for xbox online thats what others have said on the web site forum

now i have to send it in for reapairs luclky it's frree because it was made in 05 if it wasn't then i would have to pay 140 and i would be fourious.

Thats why you get it at Best Buy and get that 3 year warranty, BB just gives you a new one.

Mine's working fine, it's a year now.

WARNING: Do not move it with a disc in, because that could screw up the game. (personal experience with Madden )
