Curious... Does anyone with LT2 not make their playoffs?

The LT guy in my league went 7-6-1.. but still won his division anyway..

One guy in my league got the 2nd overall pick (#1 pick was Shaun Alexander) and his first 10 picks were:

This is a 14 team fairly competitive league and this guy is a yearly donator. The only guy that seems out of place (as far as being a good pick) is Housh, otherwise he picked one serious dog of a team. He finished in 11th place.

That guy deserved to miss the playoffs - that's one of the worst drafts I've ever seen.

2 - Michael Vick - omigod, 2nd round? Vick went in the 9th - 11th round in all my leagues. What a waste of value.
3 - Santana Moss - looked like a good pick going into this season
4 - Marty Booker - went undrafted in most my leagues. What a waste of a 4th round pick.
5 - TJ Houshmanzadeh - good pick
6 - Chris Brown - ugh.
7 - Matt Leinart - Could have held a clipboard all year if Warner played well. Good god that was bad.
8 - Mike Vanderjagt - Never draft a kicker this early
9 - Giants D - Never draft a defense this early
10 - Amani Toomer - went undrafted in most my leagues.

there's way too much of a luck factor in FF. I have LJ, not LT, but I also have the most points in the league, and am missing the playoffs with a 7-7 record

Well, things were looking good for me to take the last slot, until brees went off for 50+...Fing onside kick...

anyway, yeah, chambers sucking, dillon/lewis/foster not lighting it up and dehomme/kitna alternating bad weeks spelled doom...

In my other league tho LT2 lead me to a 2 game lead into the playoffs in a 12 teamer...

I'm another LT2 owner who didn't make the playoffs. I'm currenlty 6-7-1 as my game this week has not been decided. My team was the third highest scoring team in a 12 yeam league. Has QB issues all year. Here's my final roster:

QB: Kitna, Pennington, Leinart
RB: LT2, C.Taylor, T.Jones, Benson, M.Moore
WR: Boldin, Plaxico
TE: Tony G. Winslow
K: Akers
Def: Ny Jets - changed weekly

Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, D, K

I have LT2 and did not make our playoffs.

Its not like my team sucks either, I am 2nd in our league in total points, but I am also 1st in points scored against. So I missed the playoffs by 1 freaking game.

Luckily our league realizes things like this happen and it gives most of the $ to the top 3 in total points and then a different amount to the playoff champ. The playoff champ gets about the same as the one who ends up 3rd in total points.

Now, of course the playoff champ could also end up in the top 3 in total points and double dip.

The rest of the league that doesn't make the playoffs still plays "games" each week that count toward the total points.

Here's my roster right now, judge for yourself if this roster should be out of the playoffs in a 10 team league.

RB: L. Tomlinson, C. Taylor (T. Bell, D. McAllister, M. Jones-Drew)
WR: T. Holt, A. Boldin, L. Coles, D. Driver (M. Jones, C. Jackson)

10 team, keep 2, PPR, money league.

Bench in parenthesis. I, of course, started MJD this week over Chester Taylor in a move that got me darn close to the guy who's 1st in points right now.

I have 3 RBs who are in the top 10 RBs in our league (LT, CT, MJD), I have 4 WRs who are in the top 15 in our league, and my 3 QBs are all in the top 15. And both of my defenses are top 10 so I can play matchups nicely.

Problem is, that I have gained the nickname around the league of Jenna Jameson, because I get everyone's best "shot" every week if you get my drift.

So yeah, its possible with LT and a darn good supporting cast, to still miss the playoffs in a competitive league. Heck, I was 2nd in our league in points and missed the playoffs by a game to the team that finished last in total points.

What can you do huh? Luckily I am still in the money at this point.

I have asked this same question to other players in my 12 team league and none of them can imagine owning LT2 and NOT making the playoffs. I own him and after tonight, I should remain undefeated with the most points in our league, EVER!!! I have Gould and the Bears DST and am currently down by 4 1/2 points. Though it does put an enormous amount of pressure on me to go all the way. Just 2 games to go though.
