i'm just going to grumble instead of posting what i spent on the engagement and wedding band
I'm with Dan.
I just could not care less about jewelry. My wedding band is all the jewelry I've ever owned or probably ever will own. My wife is the same way. It's all a scam, anyway. Just because it's called "diamond" doesn't mean it glitters any more than cut glass. I could go on and on about the preposterousness of jewelry but I think you get the point.
And just so we're clear - the One Grand I dropped on the thing covered both bands, not just the wedding band. Like I said - I was poor. At that point in my life that was the most expensive thing I had ever purchased.

I feel the same way knapp as does my girl, neither of us like gold either. I didnt spend too much on her engagement ring, shed have killed me if I did. However her actual wedding ring will be blingin! But thats only because we have the stones from my mothers ring and her grandmothers ring to make her some sort of crazy super ring.
I'll be happy with just a simple titanium or platinum band.
