Crap . . . I was going to start Tatum over him, but switched at the last minute. :-t Other than that one 200 yard game, he has looked more like Jamal Lewis of last year.

Not exactly the sort of performance I needed out of him in the playoffs . . . :-o

At least if I survive I will know not to play him vs SD.

1 td and 72 yards. either 9 points or 13 points by most scoring systems...that's not bad

No. It's not terrible. But at this point, Alexander was supposed to be my anchor. 13 points isn't good for a guy who was top 3 overall in every back. I had both Bell and Betts. I actually was going to start Bell and Gore, but everyone was saying "start SA!"

Despite my gut and good sense, I eventually bought into it and started him. :-t I should have known. Nobody to blame but myself really. I bet Bell has at least 130 yards and a score this week.

Everthing was primed for him to have a good game. Good matchup. Crappy weather. This is the 2nd time the bottom- scraping niners D has held him in check. He ran like a girl in the 2nd half.

SA pisses me off.

How far do you think he'll drop in next year's drafts? Out of the top 5? Right now, I'd definitely grab LT and LJ over him. Also, SJax, FWP, and even Gore are pushing for top 5 status. What do you think???

I had him on my bench. started Jackson and Westbrook over him (can you blame me in a PPR?)

On as for on topic, SA's decline wasn't all the hard to see coming. He's closing in on 30, lost the best Guard in football with no replacement to soften the blow, and he had a career year last year, most players disappoint the season after their career year. For instance, I expect those taking LT2 1st last year will be somewhat disappointed, even if he finishes top 5. Record breaking seasons are simply nearly impossible to follow up. I think 3rd was the likely worst draft spot this year, as many people had no choice but the take SA.

Alexander is just not the same he was... And never will be!

What was the key to his success: a dominating o-line, led by LT Walter Jones and LG Steve Hutchinson. With Hutch gone ,he hardly has it as easy as before. Holes aren't as wide as they were, and more than ever he is met in the hole or in the backfield by the opposing D before he gets to speed.

My view is he will barely fit into the top-10 scoring RBs next year.

No . . . I benched Tatum. Gore has carried my butt this far. . . no way I was benching him.

I just bet you Tatum outscores Alexander by 6 points or more in standard scoring this sunday.

haha....I'm pretty sure he didn't get "at least" 15 pts. and your hawks got whooped by the Niners. He shouldn't have even got that TD if the Niners could recover a fumble. It would have been 5 points instead of 13 in standard scoring.

Got any more predictions? Hawks in the Super Bowl?
