One of the sacks the Bears made tonight was a facemasking penalty which resulted in a first down. Is that still techincally a sack, or is the play void due to a penalty? Currently it shows as a sack, but the official NFL stats aren't out yet.
Does anyone know if this sack will stand? If it doesn't then I go to round 1 of the playoffs next week. If it stands, then I'm out of the playoffs. I have the same record as the other guy, but this will determine who has the most total points for the season. Crazy, I know! Ugh. Help?
I'm not sure. Did anyone notice if the foul yards were added on to where the sack occured or from the line of scrimmage. My guess would be the play stands. Unnecessary Roughness is usually added on to the end of the play.
D_mn! I just checked ESPN, CBS, NFL, Yahoo. Everybody has it counting as a sack. Oh well Vino, at least there is some relief in knowing that somebody else had their nuts handed too them. Tonight. I can't sleep - I'm just sick.
Me too. I can't believe this happened. I get outscored by 1 pt for the whole entire season and miss the playoffs because of it, and to top it off the "points against" for my team was over 200 pts greater than guy taking my spot, so I had a much tougher schedule. The odds that this happens to me makes it hard to accept as true.
Oh well, I think it was Aristotle who said:
"It is likely that unlikely things happen."
(I wish this was one of the those "It's funny because it's true" situations)
