Week 16 is the season finale for most fantasy football leagues. With the end near, it's never too early to think about next year's fantasy draft. Here's a projected top 10:
1. LaDainian Tomlinson, RB, Chargers. Duh!
2. Larry Johnson, RB, Chiefs. Another no-brainer.
3. Steven Jackson, RB, Rams. Has turned into a fantasy star.
4. Peyton Manning, QB, Colts. Still the most reliable fantasy QB out there.
5. Shaun Alexander, RB, Seahawks. Should rebound after injury for another big season.
6. Brian Westbrook, RB, Eagles A versatile fantasy performer like Jackson.
7. Willie Parker, RB, Steelers. Imagine what Pittsburgh's season would have been without him.
8. Rudi Johnson, RB, Bengals. A consistent fantasy running back.
9. Frank Gore, RB, 49ers. Only decent fantasy player for San Francisco.
10. Clinton Portis, RB, Redskins. Scored seven TDs despite missing most of season with an injury; if he's healthy, he'll be a fantasy force again.
From 11 to 20: Carson Palmer, Deuce McAllister, Drew Brees, Terrell Owens, Maurice Drew, Joseph Addai, Tatum Bell, Chester Taylor, Torry Holt, Donovan McNabb.
I would love to draft in a league where 4 QBs go in the first 20 picks. It would virtually guarantee me a steal in the 3rd round whether I got RB-WR or RB-RB.
I dont really see Owen or Holt having done enough to separate themselves from Steve Smith, Wayne, or CJ, all of whom I'd gladly take before any QB. Also, I question Bell and Duece as being in that 11-20 range. I'd much rather take a chance on Lamont having a comeback tour, or Ronnie Brown having anyone to block for him. Heck, if I'm going to draft one of the Saint's RBBC, I'm taking Bush who should only get more of a percentage of the load as time goes on.
If I have the 2nd pick I'm going Jackson, Jackson, Jackson. Why?
1. LJ is being run into the ground by Edwards
2. I'm a Broncos fan
3. Jackson has scored just as many points this year and will be in a better general situation next year
In a PPR league Jackson should go before LJ. Otherwise, I'm taking LT, LJ, SJax as 1, 2 and 3 next year.
Nobody listened to me when I continually praised SJax as being a much better pick than Ronnie Brown. Those who agreed with me are probably having a much better fantasy season

Gotta love this. Isn't this the tune we sing every year? (At least I do) I'm never owning Portis. He will let you down every time because he WILL get hurt. Everyone is always preaching Portis as the stud to grab, but those guys usually get killed when he goes down. Not doubting his talent...he is a monster when available. Durability on the other hand is a different story.
Plus they gave betts a good contract, that calls for RBBC all the way, Betts proved he can carry the load so it will be a 2 man show at DC.
As for me I am taking:
1.- LT
2.- LJ (i love jackson but LJ is still #2 for me)
3.- Jackson, since I got him on a trade last season (a real steal), I have him as one of my favorites RBs, he is good.
4.- Alexander
5.- and so on, I still have to give it a thought, not so sure about the order with the Gores, FWP Westbrooks and others.

Don't forget about Ladell Betts! Washington will be RBBC next year, no question. Carries will be split 20/10 or even 18/12 on "any given Sunday".

If Taylor is gone then he's a borderline 1st round pick or a very strong 2nd round pick imo. Acutally on my NFL.com league where 10 yds = 1 pt and a TD = 6 pts he's the #7 back overall this year. If I didn't have Gore, SJAX and McGahee I might have used him more than the 1 week i did.
