Any Apple Owners?

I can run any Windows program and ANY Mac program at the same time thanks to Parallels. And my Macbook was about as cheap as you're going to see any other Windows based laptop with similar specs.

Sure I can't run high quality games on it... but that's what my Desktop is for

yeah, it's a laptop. i don't work for dell anymore. doing real IT work now. depending on what you need out of it...i like the xps notebook that they are phasing out, m1210. it's a 12.1" screen. light weight. superfast. check it out. the price is droppin on it rapidly. it started at $1200 when i was working for them, last i saw it's down to $899.

and here is a comparable hp system to what pop has. for $899. i didn't know screen size or vid card.

true. but not $700 worth. and the performance difference between those two chips is almost negligible.

edit: i built one on dell for $1200 with a 2.2 core 2. 2 gb ram. dvd burner. etc. went to hp, built a core duo system 2 ghz, 2gb ram, 256 mb vid card, litescribe dvd burner for about $850. so comparable systems are out there for cheaper. i'm not trying to bash macs or anything. i really like macs. i loved macs before the went to the intel proc. it's just that i don't understand what the premium is now. since you can get the exact same parts in another machine cheaper. oh well.

AMD and Intel CPUs also shouldn't be compared by just the posted GHz speed either. There are some things that a slower AMD will do better than a faster Intel.
