I completely disagree. I dislike TO as much as most, but if he was a nice, polite guy he wouldnt even be in the NFL in the first place. His screwed up childhood motivated him to work his a$$ off to be the player he is. If you take away his cocky jerk attitude from the beginning, he wouldnt have gotten picked on and beaten up as a kid. You cant take a huge variable like someone's attitude out of the equation and expect them to be equal in all other aspects. He is a great football player, and a complete jerk. Take it or leave it.
That being said, TO was just fined $35,000 and I think thats a little lenient. A 1 game suspension would have cost him almost $300,000 so I dont think he deserved that, especially if they dont have it on tape. Maybe $50,000-75,000 would have been a little better. At least it would be a little more of a blip on TO's financial radar.

Are you not making an assumption of the same magnitude in the opposite side of the argument when you assume his work ethic is solely derived from his childhood, that in no way if he'd been polite would he have found the inspiration to become a hard working individual?

I think that's about what Sean Taylor was fined and he wasn't suspended. so I think it's fair.

Taylor was kicked out of the game(because the Ref's saw it) and only fined $17,000.
That was also the wildcard playoff game last yeasr against TB.

even more surprised Hall didn't retaliate since he is apparently a hot head with a big mouth. Im just wondering how bad it was really was. In any event, spitting in one's face is disgracefull and and even a 1 game suspension is warranted.
