Anyone else manage to win without a superstud?

It's better to be lucky than good. I have the title wrapped up barring some miracles by my opponents in both cash money leagues and did it without LT, LJ, Manning or Brees in either! Who else pulled this off? Oddly enough I had McNabb in both of them. Heh.

Post your rosters for this week, if you would, so I can get a sense of what you were working with.

I managed to finish with a winning record in each of my three leagues, with none of the following on any of my rosters:

LT, SJax, Westy, Portis, Tiki, Maroney, FWP, MJD, Rudi, KJ
Mannings, McNabb, Palmer, Brees, Vick, Brady, Garcia, Pennington
Wayne, Holt, SS, CJ, Walker, Evans, Colston, TO, DJax, Fitz, Housh, AJ, Roy Williams
Heap, Colston, Gates, Gonzo, Clark, Smith
Ended up playing the WW for defenses, as my drafting of Atlanta, Tampa and Philly really bit the pillow in all three leagues.

Here were my starters this week...

Team 1:
Marc Bulger
Marvin Harrison
Reggie Wayne
Javon Walker
Tiki Barber
Maurice Jones-Drew
Nate Keading
San Diego D

Team 2:
Jason Campbell
Donald Driver
Deion Branch
Hines Ward
Terry Glenn
Frank Gore
Steven Jackson
Shaun Alexander
Jeremy Shockey
Jay Feeley
Indianapolis D

On the first team I just lucked out playing matchups. It was only 8-team league so there was always options on waivers. I picked up Bulger on waivers early in the season but Week 16 was the first time I started him (I used Garcia last few weeks). Jones-Drew was someone I grabbed about five weeks ago and I believe this was the second time I started him. I was very close to giving Ronnie Brown the nod but changed my mind when Taylor was listed out.

Team two was a 12-teamer and I didn't really get lucky there or not nearly as much. Other than my huge quarterback problem after McNabb got hurt and I had to juggle Losman, Harrington and Campbell my team was very strong all year because of the depth I built--every other team had major flaws. I'll give most credit here to Frank Gore for being that sleeper who put me over the top every week.

Er, I suppose you're right. I should have limited it to Tomlinson and Manning. Guess my recievers were pretty outstanding on team one looking at their ranking through week 15 with Wayne having the most total points, Harrison 5th and Walker 7th among recievers.

Winning an eight-team league with an unorthodox line-up like the first one you listed is still pretty impressive; at first glance, that squad wouldn't appear to stack up with some others that could be assembled in a small league. Congratulations on your win.

If Westbrook puts up 100 yds and a TD tonight, then the championship team from my league PASSED on LT drafting out of the 3 spot for Tiki and still won the league.

Its just totally messed up.

Wow, why weren't any of my leagues that screwed up? Not only LT falling past 3, but having the opportunity to pair LT with Westy.
