I was the 6th pick in a ten teamer. I am up 50+ points (std yahoo) going into tonight. I still have TO, and he still has Romo, Glenn and R Brown.
I think it's safe to say I'll win this weekend and come in 1st.
My line-up this weekend:
Bulger
SJax
Rudi
TO
S Moss
Hackett
V Davis
Wilkins
KC Def
McNabb was my starter. I finished the regular season 8-5 in second behind the guy who drafted 1st and took LT. That's who I'm battling with for 1st.
I have no "super-studs", but a few A- players...

I survived SA's madden curse and losing McNabb to win it.

TE's Crumpler, Winslow
K's Graham

bench:
RB: J. Jones, T. Jones, Portis (picked up after his season was over), Dayne
WR: Clayton
D: Miami.
No real superstuds on this team, considering Portis made no contribution. I came into the auction with Palmer, McGahee and J. Jones at bargain prices and made some good choices with Gore (steal of the auction), Driver and Walker. By midseason Gore was the #1 RB and I was able to work matchups with TJ, JJ and McGahee for RB #2.
12 team here at the cafe an I managed the second best record and won the championship in this PPR league with this unspectatcluar roster:
QB: Jeff Garcia (Brett Favre, Jon Kitna, Trent Green)
RB: Brian Westbrook, Michael Pittman (Fred Taylor, Lamont Jordan, Correll Buckhalter)
WR: Chad Johnson, Donald Driver, Reggie Brown (Greg Jennings)
WR/RB: Mushin Muhammad
TE: Antonio Gates (Ben Watson)
K: Matt Stover
DEF: Miami
I won yesterday in a 12 team IDP league with a cobbled together lineup!
QB: Garcia - WW pickup, drafted Warner and McNair
RB: SJax - traded R. Brown and T. Williamson for him in wk 8
RB: Ladell Betts - WW picked him up in wk 10
WR: D. Branch - picked up off WW but sucked most of year
WR: H. Ward - traded D. Foster for him in wk 7
TE: M. Colston - WW pickup wk 1 and yes I did play him at TE!
W/T flex: B. Wade - WW pickup, solid play with return yds
W/R flex: MJD - WW pickup before wk 1, by far best value!
K: Wilkins - only O player that I drafted still in starting lineup
IDPs: D. Ryans, W. Demps, K. Hamlin, A. Pierce, R. Lewis
So you can see I won the title with mainly a WW pickup team. My trade for SJax was crucial but the great values on WW this year really propelled my team. After week 7 I was 2-5 and in next to last place. From that point on I did not lose another game and averaged over 200 pts a game. I ended up in 3rd place in the standings and had the most points scored!
Rex Grossman (Matt Leinart)
Ladell Betts / Westbrook (Ahman Green, D. Williams Clinton Portis until injury... very glad I handicapped him)
Boldin / Stallworth (Jurevicius, Furrey, Chambers until week 16 )
Desmond Clark (Sheffler)
Stover
Baltimore DST (Minnesota DST)
I beat Peyton Manning in the Championship and LJ in the first round. The guy with LT lost to Manning in the first round!
This is probably the first and only Championship Grossman will ever win
