How much do the Titans have under the cap this year? Is Freeney a possibility? Please post links to any cap info you can find. Thanks

The Titans are projected to be $39.9 million under the cap, which is great news.

After years of having trouble with the salary cap, it seems as if the Titans will finally be able to breathe a sigh of relief. With this kind of cap space, Jeff Fisher can pursue some of the best players in free agency this year. The Titans could come out of the off-season this year as one of the best teams, which is why I am so excited about our chances next year.

I am really excited too. Thanks for the info.

Do you think they'll go after Freeney?

Sorry for buging in, but ^^^^^ I hope not. Still the Colts might not be able to cough up the dough since he didn't do so great this year and we don't have a lot of cap room. :-t Still the Titans could sign him. Since the Colts might not want to give him that huge salary.

They might go after Freeney, but he won't be a priority.

I would expect them to look at one or two receivers, and possibly a #2 cornerback, if they don't think that they can find a decent one in the draft.

Keep in mind that Freeney didn't put up his usual stats this year. He is still a good player, but the Titans might not be willing to pay him the kind of salary that he would be asking for. Take a look at Dwight's 2005 stats, and compare them to his 2006 stats.
