What I liked about this season.

Postby HskrPwr13 » Fri Jan 12, 2007 5:04 pm

Post your thoughts.............

1. I liked the ABC/ESPN commercials this season. The ones that said, "Revenge lives here.", or "Passion lives here.". I thought those were pretty cool.

2. I thought it was neat that a few of the normal doormats made some noise. Rutgers and Wake Forest are the two that really stand out in my mind. Even teams like GT and Kentucky could be considered as overachieving considering these programs recent history.

3. Fox covering the BCS. I know many will disagree with me. I liked the understated promos for the games, at least compared to another network. Also, I thought it was interesting listening to the NFL commentators calling some of the college games. Of course, the novelty of it could wear off quickly.

4. The potential that ND may have had the luster taken off of them for at least the start of next season. It seems that a lot of talking heads finally realized that they've fed into the hype surrounding the ND football team and may actually correct it. We'll see next season.

What did you like?

I enjoyed my team actually having a winning season after starting 2-3. I enjoyed the Pac-10s top 3 teams all winning their bowl games.

1. Notre Dame being hyped up again ;-D , dang it they dissapointed me again too :-t

2. Awesome recievers, such as C.Johsnon, D.Jarrett

3. Controversy in the BCS, which didn't matter as everything played out well.

4. The good regular season matchups Mich vs. OSU, Florida vs. LSU, ND vs. USC, West Virginia vs. Lousville.

I liked UCLA beating USC.

I liked all but the last 3 games in the College bowl mania group pick em.

I liked the BSU vs OKLA game.

I liked arguing and fussing with the college football regs.

John Bunting was fired...that was good enough for me

Notre Dame getting demolished in another bowl game

Boise State's "Hook and Ladder" and "Statue of Liberty" plays

Chris Leak winning a National Championship

Watching Calvin Johnson play in person in Chapel Hill

UNC beating NC State, then beating Duke on a blocked extra point attempt (with only 3 wins I need to focus on the good)

1. Notre Dame losing by 20+ on three separate occasions.

2. Arkansas' Wildcat offense.

3. An 11 week bounceback season for Michigan, I block the last two games out.

4. CJ Spiller and Adrian Peterson.

They definitely had a good season even though I think how they lost to USC put a damper on it. They will be considered better than OSU going into next season. If they lose at home again to OSU does Carr go back to being on the hot seat assumming he doesnt retire?
