the real problem was not socring A TD on first and goal.
The punt was weird, but the game DEFINITELY ends if you don't get the first down. you punt you have more avenues avaiable to you to do something, as the Saints couldn't jsut kneel on it. They could have muffed the punt, or fumbled on the runs they had to attmept, or they could have been stopped. Also, you presumably pin them in the event of a stop. I think that was the right call.
I thought that was a VERY questionable hold right before duece scored that td. that turned the game.
and the false start was shaky as hell, as they let the play go instead of whistling it dead, which is the norm I believe.
But the saints won every category, and the eagles needed big plays to hang in there.
But hey, its not like the saints are bad or undeserving, and they won fair and square. I almost would rather get blown out sometimes though.
And no dallas fans, its not the same at all. This team was "lost" after mcnabb went down, stormed back, and handed the division their arses down the stretch, going on the road three in a row and forcefully taking back the division from dallas. Then, they beat the Giants twice. Many had the eagles last in the division, not making the playoffs.
Dallas was suppossed to go to the bowl with romo, and giants were hyped too.
I think its s stretch to say that the eagles and dallas situations are in any qya equivalent.
And this team is shaping up to be VERY good when donovan gets back, if they keep this new offensive approach, resign stallworth and address the defense a bit.
Giants unquestionably get qorse next year, and the Eagles pretty much handled dallas this year.
The opening scene of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" is loosely based on games of dodgeball Brian Dawkins played in second grade.
