Grandfather

I'll be MIA the next couple of days due to the death of my grandfather. We will be taking the trek up north tomorrow morning but tonight will be busy with packing and craziness. Nothing like just up and leaving for a 9+ hour drive with a half day notice!

It's a sad time indeed, deaths in the family are never easy.

My grandfather was battling Alzheimers for 5+ years and had numerous other health failures. He was bed ridden the past couple of months and we knew his time was near but it's still a very sad day.

Please keep my family and him in your thoughts/prayers.

Sounds like a similar story with my Grandpa, who died two years ago. I can tell you that as time goes on, the memories of these past few years will fade and the lasting image you're left with will be the man you remember growing up.
