As if there's something at this particular school that makes choking any more likely than anywhere else? Chalk it up to what it is... a freak coincidence. There's no need to go psycho over it. I'd actually be a little curious to see what it was they choked on. I would be a lot more willing to put the blame on the food served than on the kids themselves.

Not at a private school. It is voluntary enrollment, so they can do pretty much whatever they want. If you don't like it, don't go there...er....send your kids there.

Something I learned my senior year of high school: school's don't give a !@#$ about your rights unless your parents (aka the taxpayers who contribute to their salaries) take issue. Right or wrong, a student trying to demand Freedom of Speech or any such undeniable right will promptly end up with successive detentions if he/she is not being backed by parents.
