I've seen all sorts of threads talking about who the best band is (how could we forget our offseason Battle of the Bands) or what type of music is better than another, but I've never seen a thread (and yes dream_017, I did do a search first - :-b

) of what kind of musical instrument one plays.

I've been a drummer for the better part of 26 years and I have loved every minute of playing them. I have two kits: one I purchased in 2000 and the other has been in my family over 30 years. So to start this thread off this is my current kit:

Make: Premier
Model: Artist Series Birch in Topaz Finish
Configuration:

8" Tom
10" Tom
12" Tom
14" suspended Tom
20" Bass Drum
3 1/4" piccalo snare drum

Heads: Coated Emporers on tops, Ambassadors on bottoms, Evans EMAD on Bass drum
Cymbals: All Zildjian (is there another kind??)

13" K/Z series Hi-Hats
16" K crash
17" K Crash
18" Ride
6" K Splash
8" Wuhan Splash

Hardware: Iron Cobra double-bass pedal, preimer hi-hat stand and tama cymbal stands.
Sticks: I use a variety of models, but I favor the Vic Firth Buddy Rich signature series sticks. I also use Vater's Acoutstix and Pro-Marks Broomsticks.
Other: I also use Chimes, Cowbell and Tambourine.

I figured this would be a good way for the cafe musicians to share some information.

Tell me - what musical instrument do YOU play??

I don't play instruments, i used to sing in a band then.

I play the clarinet. Haven't whipped out the horn recently as much as I used to, but I still play. I've got a buffet R13 (not that that means anything to anyone) and I was All-State High school. Not exactly the thing I've been advertising in college though.
