Ok, tonight at my apartment we are holding a 3 floor apartment party and each floor is supposed to think of a shot to have on their floor that people can drink. Right now we have invited about 400 people so we need to keep the liquor low budget yet still have a quality tasting shot.
As of now we were thinking an apple pie shot (double shot half vodka half apple juice, you put cinnamon on your tongue, put the shot in your mouth swish it with some whipped cream) I'm worried that might be a little to much effort every time you want a shot.
Any other ideas? Keep in mind we're poor college kids.
This one is relatively cheap... It's called an Anti-Freeze:
1 part Midori
2 parts Vodka
2 parts Sprite
Pour over ice, shake, and strain into shot glass...
If you substitute cranberry juice for Sprite, this is called a Jolly Rancher.
AND, if you can afford it, you can also buy a bottle of Malibu Rum and make Alien Secretions with the same ingredients:
1 part Vodka
1 part Midori
1 part Malibu Rum
1 part Pinapple Juice
Pour over ice, shake, and strain into shot glass...
You can buy a half-gallon of cheapish Vodka for about $25... The Midori will run about $15-$20 (for a 750 mL bottle), and Malibu can be had for about $25 (for a 750 mL bottle)... Sprite and Pineapple Juice cost almost nothing... Total cost of being able to make both of these shots all night is about $75... If you skip the rum and only make the Anti-Freeze shots you're talking about $45-$50, tops....

hmm interesting, I think i may look into that anti-freeze, sounds pretty good.
We were thinking about jello shots but those go REALLY fast. Anyway the party starts in an hour we're making the booze run now. Everyone enjoy their saturday night, I know I will.

No kidding... Figuring 2 drinks and hour (minimum) for 3 hours, that's 2,400 shots... At an ounce of liquor a piece, which is bare minimum for a quality shot, you're talking about nearly 19 gallons of booze...

well we had about 150 show up so it wasn't too bad, we had beer too for sipping. Each floor of the apartment ended up shelling out like 200 dollars by the end of the night so not too bad. It was a lot of fun.

You guys didn't charge a cover or anything?
That's what I was wondering. What's the point of this party? Did you at least meet any girls?
