Bye Bye Jamal Lewis?

Postby bigGAME101 » Mon Feb 12, 2007 9:46 pm

I didn't see anyone post this. It looks like his salary might be too high for the Ravens, even though cutting him would only clear up slightly under $2mil in cap space.

Sucks for Jamal. Can't say i am surprised they have been grooming Smith and they have Anderson.

The Browns better not draft AD or I could be left with only one starting running back in one of my dynasties. :-#

It all comes back to fantasy football. :-° :-b

WOW, would be sad to see him go. Who do you think would pick him up?

I think there are plenty of places he could potentially go.

Denver may take a chance on him. Someone like Detroit might pick him up as the insurance for KJ (assuming he doesn't come with too high a price tage), Cleveland could use another RB, Houston could use one, Atlanta could use him if they wanted to bring in a bigger back, or possibly TB even as well if they wanted to bring in a bigger back to split. Many many options I think.

Anyone think that the Ravens would pursue Michael Bush in the draft should Jamal actually leave? He reminds me a bit of Jamal when he came out back in the day, except Bush has much better pass-cathing ability. I think Bush's value lies near the end of the first round too. Just a thought.

Bush is projected to go into the second maybe 3rd round. I think with Smith and Anderson they are fine.

I don't understand why you say Bush is projected to go from the second to third round. He is a first round prospect who at this point is probably a high second round pick due to a concerning injury. If he shows that he is fully recovered from his broken leg he will jump into the first round. He has the type of physical tools that will only improve his stock come the combine. He is a better prospect than Lynch IMO.
