Will T.O. be back in Dallas???

• It's no lock Terrell Owens will be with the Cowboys in 2007. Mr. Distraction is due a $3 million roster bonus in June and a $5 million salary for 2007. So there's time. It's not what Jones said about Owens; he always says the right things about how much T.O. helped the offense in 2006 and he expects to have a bright future with him. But it's what he's unwilling to say right now. He's unwilling to guarantee Owens' spot on the roster in 2007. Owens even took his nameplate from the Dallas locker room after the season, apparently unsure whether he'd be back for a second season under the big top.

The way I see it is that Jones will sidle up to Owens' agent, Drew "Next Question!'' Rosenhaus, at the combine later this month in Indianapolis and tell him he might want to reconsider when to make the roster bonus payable. Seems to me Sept. 1 makes more sense than June 1. By Labor Day, Phillips and Jones will know if they can stomach Owens for another season, and whether they need him for another year.

I say he is in Dallas next season without a doubt.

Peter King dislikes T.O. so this doesn't surprise me at all.

He takes shots at T.O. all the time. I am actually tiring of Peter King somewhat. He is getting pretty stuffy and uptight moreso than he already was.

I certainly think he will remain a Cowboy. But like you said, with him, you never know.

I'd be willing to make a bet he stays in big D just because even though he can be quite the distraction, he's a very good player, him and romo played well together, and Jone's is just plain weird.

It was either Parcells or TO. To did well with Romo, but man I might actually feel sorry for the Dallas fans if they dont take the division this year, because Parcells was in all likelihood the only thing that kept TO from being even more of a distraction.

It'll be the last year. Dallas just doesn't have any WR depth. We need TO this year. I'll bet we draft a WR or two in the first few rounds of the draft. Maybe even in the first. Depending who's on the board. Probably not the first. But the second is where I would think they'll be targeting a WR.

I doubt Dallas takes a WR first round. If the do, I will be disappoint in that, the right D player was there or CJ dropped to us... rofl. Other than that, Cowboys will draft a CB or Safety and a O-line in a good chance,

I'd be surprised if Owens isn't a Cowboy in '07. Beyond that is anyone's guess.
