Suggestions for new Salary Cap/Contract league.....

I'm attempting to Build a league that has a Salary Cap for each owner and a certain limit of contact yrs to be used...

The players salaries will be set by the auction draft..
The following yrs will be an traditional Rookie draft an then an auction draft for the FA's...
I also planned on using Tags on players...
any player dropped and or picked up from FA pool can not be contracted into the next yr..

I planned on using 35 man rosters... 17 starters; 18 bench players..
I planned on only allowing players to be contracted for 3 too 4 yrs..

What would be a good amount of contract yrs for the owners..
What are some of your settings/suggestions for a league like this..
