Bah. My excitement for snow died sometime in December, after the first significant snowfall. Now, I just see snow as extra work and needless freezing of extremities.
It's supposed to snow here in Chicago either later tonight or Sunday (or Monday, stupid weather people) and I've got to go buy a new shovel and mix some 2 cycle oil for the snowblower. Like I said, extra work.

Yea, I like snow for a month or two, but after that it's fairly depressing. We had weather in the 40's earlier this week and I was getting spring fever, now we're back to getting snow and freezing temperatures.

My exact sentiments. Snow is OK the first time. Maybe even the second. But in my opinion Winter is two months too long. I'd like to have a longer Fall and Spring and a shorter Winter.
In Nebraska we don't get a LOT of snow in the winter so most of Winter is dreary, gray, and dirty. There is dirt everywhere, and dust blows around and gets on your car because the grass is shriveled up and doesn't hold it down like normal. It really sucks.
I enjoy a good rainstorm too. We're putting up a canopy over the patio for this very purpose. Enjoy the rain without getting wet. We like the snow too, but, like others have said above, only for a short time. I can get into pretty much any season really, as long as it's not -20.
EDIT - Oh, and it's been raining in Omaha all day too. My wife works near Cabela's and she said it's snowing there already.
lucky, I wish it was snowing like crazy here, it's doing nothing right now, K.C. is supposed to get 'snow showers' today, and I think we are just gonna get like a itty bitty bit of mix...rats.
