No thread up yet?

-Calvin Johnson measured in at 6'5'' 239 and ran a 4.35 40! CJ surpassed even my lofty expectations...Best WR prospect ever....Maybe the best prospect, regardless of position, since Orlando Pace....

-Joe Thomas ran a 4.96....Anything under 5 for an OL is exceptional...Levi Brown ran a 5.4, ouch....

-Jamarcus Russell weighs 265 and one scout called him "doughy" :-b

-Amobi Okoye is back over 300 after weighing in at 280-something at the Senior Bowl...

Those are what stick out imo....

if you want to know what others have said. This time of year is always a flip flop between college sports and leftovers.
Lynch ran 4.49, pittman 4.42, ADP 4.38 Irons ran 4.47. Also Chris Henry ran 4.33 and weighed in at 230. That was an impressive time.

To add to Jaydays thoughts, I think Greg Olson running a 4.5 40 is quite impressive. Also, there's a punter Podlesh who is apparently quite quite fast and could run in the 4.5 range or better. He's 240 something lbs and is a good tackler. This guy is a special teams unit in one player.

Are you guys just getting these numbers from watching the Combine on the NFL Network or is there some site that posts the 40 times and such? The only good one Ive found is NFL.com, but they seem to only update after each day for the most part.

I got them while watching the combine. They can be found on NFL draft sites and forums also.

Greg Olson is a good athlete at the tight end position but he has not heart and won't be a success in the NFL imo.

No work ethic anyone? Seriously he is gonna be a big problem for whoever drafts him to keep him motivated, especially OAK

The combine is overated. It means nothing. Seriously, all the 40 times are skewed anyway, none of them are really correct, and plus the 40 is not at all indicative of game speed. You can be the fastest guy on the track but when it comes to football, you need to have "football speed."

The only reason the combine gets any attention is because people like us on the Cafe are desperate for football. :-b
