JAKE PLUMMER TO RETIRE?? (merged)

Don't players have the same situation as coaches when they "retire." The difference is that Dillion awas cut then retired. There are no ties to any team so if he decided not to retire then he can sign anywhere. Jake on the otherhand was not cut, so he is still under his contract for the Broncos. Whereas, I can remember Barry Sanders retired, and was still under contract with the lions if he decided to come back. Is that correct or did I have too many last night???

either i'm really drunk, or really tired... but I had to read this like 5 times and i'm still not sure I understand it... no offense at all... it just starts with cutting a qb then trading and man... i need another drink
well I'm not old enough to drink and it makes about zero sense to me, all I gathered was that it has something to do with football and a trade. :-b

Good news for Tampa (if it's true and he hangs 'em up)

No more Jake The Flake. It's the end of an era really. The era of ridiculously overrated quarterbacks who sucker not one but two teams into paying them a buttload of money era.

Not neccessarily, Michael Vick might achieve that some point in his career.

Point taken. ;-D

I believe the technical term is "screwing the pooch".

No, No, my friend Jon is a genius i have figured his strategy.

We are going to draft Quinn with the first pick then play a differeny QB every game on a 5 man Rotation like Baseball. Then each guy is fresh for the playoffs when we can play one QB a quarter. We will dominate and everyone will copy the Boy Genius ;-D

I just saw on ESPN that the Plummer to Tampa trade is still going through despite Plummer's talks of retirement.

Yea, i have heard it is for a conditional 2008 pick. We are looking to trade his rights to OAK for something, don't know what yet :-?

Jake the Flake in Oakland. That's just perfect.
