Trading up in the draft

With the Lions reportedly looking at trading down, what would it take to move up? If the Raiders take Jamarcus and The Niners looking for a wr (maybe I'm getting greedy) it would be nice to get Calvin Johnson. I don't want to pull a Mike Ditka but we do have 3 fourth round picks already and might have a couple comp picks, I havent been able to confirm those. I'd give up our first 4 picks. I don't think the draft pick trading chart has that as being enough but seems like a fair deal to me. If it's not enough, what do you think it would take?

P.S. With so many picks and FA signings I figure we won't have enough roster spots for everyone. Might as well move up.

Trading up would probably cost your first this year and next

You'll probably get a comp pick for Julian Peterson, but beyond that I doubt it. Also, heres a draft value chart:

so to go from 11 to 2, you'd need ~1300 "points" beyond your first rounder. 4th rounders equate to about 100 points, so I don't think you'll make up much there. It would take your First, second and probably a first from next year to make up the difference.

I would say that its pretty unlikely. The draft pick guide always seems way out of line, but it actually is a pretty decent indicator of "value." Some years though when there are no standout players, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, as you actually can benefit by dropping down, and still picking up the same player for a cheaper price.

The jump from 11 to 2 is substantial... 1000+ points.

I would say that is highly improbable.

From what I understand from the Browns side of things they are not looking to draft Quinn. They are in more of a win now mode, to save jobs.

Plus, I hear rumors of Trent Green coming here.
