This won't be officially announced for a while...not until the official schedules are released. I think they usually get released right around draft time. Not 100% sure though.
I would assume they will stick to last years format. It's not official yet but if your setting up schedules I'd say there's a very good chance there will be very little different this year than last.
Biggest change will probably be the Dolphins/Giants game in England, but that won't really change any schedule format things seeing as they will both just get the normal bye week after.
Weeks 3,4,5,6,7 each have 4 teams off with weeks 8 and 9, 6 teams sitting out. Week 10 will begin the flex scheduling and every team will be playing.
I'm pretty sure this will be the basic schedule format till at least the schedule/tv contracts are out which is 2009 or 2012 or something.
But again if you want it officially you will have to wait another month or so probably.

Yes I'd be really surprised to see a bye in week 10 because NBC has the flex deal and in order to have a full week with every team playing you can't have anybody on a bye. (of course, duh!) The whole deal with NBC was for weeks 10-17 being able to flex games so I would doubt there would be any bye weeks during that time.
As I recall, in the early years of the BYE weeks, they were truly in the middle part of the season.
Kind of interesting how they have crept forward and begin as early as week 3. a BYE in week 3 is way too early to advertise as true week of rest mid-season.

I know what you're saying; but on the other hand, if you include training camp and the exhibition schedule, then the season for players arguably goes from July-December, and week 3 (late-Sept.) would be near the middle of that.
