Reuben Droughns Signing - Good Move?

Postby Dexter II » Sat Mar 10, 2007 4:02 pm

As Giants fans what do you think of this signing?

I'm not sure he is the answer and was sort of hoping they'd bring McGahee in.

Am I missing something here? Is Droughns a good signing for the Giants?

I still can't decide. All indications were that they were looking for someone to backup Jacobs. Did they bring in Droughns to be a backup? Droughns played well in Denver but almost every RB plays well there. He pretty much sucked in Cleveland but I think the Giants have a better O-Line. I'm still undecided on the signing. Time will tell. :-?

I think by bringing someone like Droughns in shows that the Giants are ready for Jacobs to be the main back. I heard he is going to get 15-20 carries which would be great for him. I think Jacobs is going to have a great year. I would have liked the giants to get someone like mcgahee or thomas jones but I am confident that Jacobs will get the job done.

I like Jacobs too but am a little concerned with his running style. I'd like to see him protect himself a little more. With his size he forces defenders to go for his knees/ankles.

It will be great to see what he can do as a feature back though.
