vermeil didn't care about the defense that much plain and simple. he was much more fond of putting up huge points to make sure everyone knew it was him in st louis that was the genius and not martz.

i'll take the number 6 guy in tackles in the league even if these are his bad years. while i would say he definitely doesn't have a lot of years left he is ten times better than bell,mitchell and fox all wrapped up into one. we should have never let him go in the first place but thanks to vermeil he left. DJ ,harris and edwards is light years ahead of DJ ,mitchell and bell.
