Ian Scott Visiting Denver

Postby deerayfan072 » Mon Mar 12, 2007 9:59 am

The Denver Broncos' need to rebuild the interior of their defensive line has led them to another soon-to-be ex-Bear.
Ian Scott will visit the Broncos on Monday, an NFL source said Saturday night, following Alfonso Boone there. The Broncos acquired Dan Wilkinson from the Miami Dolphins, but there is a possibility he will retire, and the team needs more numbers. Boone's free-agent tour took him from Denver to Kansas City.

Scott, a starter for most of 2004 and 2005, lost his starting job early last season to Tank Johnson but was thrust back into a more critical role after Tommie Harris' hamstring injury and after legal entanglements caught up with Johnson.

I kinda wish the Bears would resign Scott. There's a chance that Tank Johnson will be going to jail for his various brushes with the law. :-/
The cake is a lie.

I really think the Bears underestimate what Scott did for them last year as a backup

This would be a solid, underrated signing for Denver.

I like Ian Scott very solid DT. The Bucs looked at him, but chose Kevin Carter instead :-P
